About this series
In the Bible, God provided rulers for His people called kings. When a king governed with justice and righteousness, the nation flourished. But when an evil king entered the scene, the nation declined.
The people rejoiced when they had a good king, but suffered under a bad king.
In Jesus' time, the nation was under Roman rule. People looked for a king to return Israel to its glory days.
Jesus was the king they were hoping for, but His message was very different from what they envisioned. Contrary to man's expectations, God's plan was to establish a spiritual kingdom on earth.
In this short Easter series, we will see how Jesus fulfils that hope we have for a king, and be inspired the power of the cross.
