Pastor's Message
Welcome to English Church Conference 2026!
The theme for ECC26 is 'Healthy Disciples, Healthy Church.'

"Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." 3 John 2

God cares for our whole being. A healthy disciple is defined not just by their Sunday service and life group attendance, but by their overall well-being - heart, soul, mind, and body (Mark 12:30). Our aim is to be healthy disciples holistically. When we are healthy as individuals, the church will also be healthy.

We are honoured to have Pastor Simon Eng as our guest speaker. We believe that his life example and insights will encourage us. Apart from the plenary sessions, we have chosen workshop topics that will speak to various aspects of being a healthy disciple, with an inspirational line-up of speakers.

Let us come with expectant hearts, believing the Lord to do an incredible work in our lives and our church!

Blessings,
Pastor Laurence & Serena

Morning Workshops
Spiritual/ Mental/ Emotional Focused
[A1] Navigating Grief & Trauma
Explore healthy ways to process painful experiences such as death, disappointment, or major life losses. Participants will also learn how God brings hope, healing, and meaning through His presence, supportive community, prayer, and wise care.
[A3] Finding Your Spiritual Rhythm
People connect with God in different ways. In this workshop, participants will explore various spiritual pathways such as relational, intellectual, worship, activist, contemplative, serving, and creation pathways, and learn how to build a meaningful and sustainable devotional life.
[A5] Slowing Down in a Fast World
Learn to become more aware of God’s presence, and respond to stress and anxiety in a Christ-centred way. This workshop introduces practical rhythms while helping participants to understand the difference between secular mindfulness and biblical meditation.
[A2] Worth More Than You Know
Discover how insecurity, negative self-talk, and distorted thinking can affect the way we see ourselves. Participants will learn to grow in healthy confidence, true humility, gratitude for their strengths, and acceptance of their limitations.
[A4] Screen Wise
Understand how screen time can affect the brain, attention span, emotions, and spiritual life. This workshop provides a balanced view of benefits and potential dangers, so that participants can identify unhealthy patterns and develop practical boundaries.
[A6] Growing Deep, Not Just Busy
True discipleship is becoming more like Christ from the inside out. In this workshop, participants will explore how emotional maturity, spiritual formation, love, humility, limits, and vulnerability are essential marks of a healthy disciple.
Afternoon Workshops
Physical/ Practical Focused
[P1] Fit & Fueled
Develop a balanced and sustainable approach to caring for your own body. This workshop focuses on practical habits of simple fitness, healthy eating, and daily energy management that can fit into busy lives, rather than quick fixes or unrealistic routines.
[P3] Stay Active, Stay Mobile
Learn how to move more safely and confidently, especially for those experiencing physical limitations such as arthritis, knee pain, back pain or stiffness. Explore ways to protect joint health, improve posture and walking, reduce fall risk, and stay active in daily life.
[P5] Fit Check
Develop healthy confidence in how you present yourself through basic hygiene, grooming, and appropriate dressing. This workshop encourages a balanced, biblical view of appearance without becoming careless, overly image-conscious, or attention-seeking.
[P2] Women's Health
This workshop helps women navigate different seasons of life, from pre-menopause to healthy ageing. Gain practical insights into physical strength, bone and heart health, nutrition, exercise, and emotional wellbeing.
[P4] Optimise Your Sleep
Discover the importance of quality sleep for physical health, mental clarity, emotional wellbeing, and daily energy. Explore common sleep issues and healthy sleep habits, optimising the sleep environment and developing a sustainable rhythm of physical rest.
[P6] Screens Without Strain
Learn to care for your eyes, posture, and body while using digital devices. Participants will explore ways to reduce digital eye strain, prevent poor posture, balance screen time with rest and movement, and create a healthier screen or study environment.
