Last week we heard from Ps Denis the birth of Samson, who was born with great promise.
Today we will look at Samson's unreliable character in Judges 14 and how, as a result of his unreliable character, he faced disaster later in his life.
About this series
Samson started with great promise. The nation needed a deliverer, and Samson was meant to be that man. God gave him supernatural strength to fight against Israel's oppressors, the Philistines. But Samson didn't live up to his calling. He fell to his own weakness and foolishness. The irony is that the strongman turned out to be an anti-hero. In this series, we will see the fall of Samson and the futility of putting our hopes on human heroes. We will turn our attention to God who is still at work despite the the failures of man.
