Part 1-6 Questions About Suffering

Job 1:8-22

Ps Laurence Lee

Why do we suffer? Job was faithful to God, yet faced devastating loss and suffering. This message explores the difficult questions suffering raises and what it means to trust God when we don’t have all the answers.

2104 SERIES Wholesome Living (new) COVER
About this series

Pain & Suffering is a 6-part series that explores why Job, despite being a faithful man, experienced suffering and what we can learn from his story.
Together, we will wrestle with life’s toughest questions: Why do people suffer? Is life worth living? And where can we find meaning when we suffer?
In his pain, Job even questions whether fearing God is enough. God remains silent as Job laments his condition and his friends hurl accusations against him. But when God finally speaks, He does not provide an explanation. Instead, God reveals who He is. Faced with God’s greatness, Job humbly submits to God. In the end, God vindicates and restores him.
Through the Book of Job, this series will help us trust God even when life makes little sense, and learn to face suffering with faith and hope.
